Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026
This privacy policy explains what personal data LokaalParkeren collects through this website and through the resident app, what we use it for, and what rights you have. It applies to everyone who visits this website and to residents who use their VvE or building's app.
Who is responsible
For residents using the app, the VvE or building manager is usually the data controller: they decide that shared parking will be offered. LokaalParkeren then acts as the processor, handling data on the association's behalf. For visitors to this website, LokaalParkeren itself is responsible. Either way, you can reach us with questions about your data via the contact form; we'll work out who to route it to.
What data we collect
- For an app account: name, email address (stored as an irreversible hash, not in readable form), phone number, parking spot number.
- When offering or booking a spot: which spot, for which period, and by whom.
- Optional: your own payment-request link, if you add one when sharing your spot for a fee. LokaalParkeren itself does not process payments.
- When using this website: anonymous visitor statistics via Google Analytics (see "Cookies and analytics" below).
- Via the contact form: whatever details you enter there yourself.
What we use data for
- To make the app work: showing spots, processing bookings, sending notifications.
- To put residents of the same building in touch with each other, for example a phone number for a booking.
- To improve this website, based on anonymised visitor statistics.
- To respond to a question submitted via the contact form.
Who we share data with
- Never with residents of another VvE or building. Every environment is fully separate from the others, on its own subdomain.
- With Neon, our database hosting provider, which stores data on our behalf.
- With Google, via Google Analytics, for anonymised visitor statistics for this website.
- Never sold to third parties for commercial purposes.
How long we keep data
We keep data for as long as an account or VvE environment is active. If a VvE stops using LokaalParkeren, data is kept for some time afterwards before being deleted, partly so an environment can easily be resumed. If you'd like your data deleted sooner, get in touch with us.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to how it's used, and to request a copy of it. You can exercise these rights by getting in touch with us. If you disagree with how we handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Security
- Logging in is via a one-time link by email, with no password that could be stolen or guessed.
- Your email address is stored as an irreversible hash, never in readable form.
- Every VvE or building has its own, screened-off environment; residents only ever see data from their own building.
- This website and the app are only accessible over a secure (https) connection.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Analytics to see how the site is used, for example which pages are visited. That happens through cookies. We don't use cookies for advertising or to track you on other websites. If you'd rather not, you can block cookies through your browser settings or use a Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example if the app changes or the law requires it. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
